Expect new features on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram as Mark Zuckerberg just made an announcement via a post on Facebook that Facebook Marketplace, WhatsApp, and Instagram will soon be rolling out new features.

He said the new features on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram will support businesses on the platforms and make shopping easier for users.

Mark said Instagram will be getting Visual Search to helps Instagram users discover products based on images that inspire them. To further explain this, He added “(I’ll use it to find more grey t-shirts 😁)” in one of his comments on the post about the expected Instagram Image Search feature.

He said Shops will be added to the Facebook Marketplace, the digital marketplace that he said is currently being used by more than 1 billion people each month.

According to Mark’s post on Facebook, the new Marketplace feature “Shops” is coming to Facebook Marketplace to make it easy for businesses to bring their Shops into Facebook Marketplace to reach more people.

Another feature revealed by Mark is Shops on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp will soon have “Shops” according to Mark, WhatsApp users will be able to view a Shop in WhatsApp and chat with businesses before buying things.

Mark mentioned that businesses will only need to set up their shop once to have it work across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. I guess I can call it “one-shop-fits-all” digital marketplace innovation.

Another thing you should expect is “Shop Ads”.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook is launching Shop Ads a new Ads to personalize the shopping experience of users and point them to Shop’s curated collection.
