Linkin Park Members: Who are they and where are they now?


We’ve all heard seven individuals make up the well-known band Linkin Park, and now people wonder if they’re still among the same Linkin Park Members. In 2017, the group was afflicted by a devastating incident. 

Agoura Hills in California has a famous rock group. Aside from Rob Bourdon, this band also features Dave Farrell on bass, Brad Delson on lead guitar, Joe Hahn on DJ/turntablist, and Mike Shinoda on guitar.

They were the first Linkin Park Members. Former members of the group comprise Mark Wakefield and Chester Bennington. Linkin Park is categorized as an alternative rock group, and their latest music has more pop and electronic elements than their prior music that merged heavy metal and hip hop.

After the tragic death of their vocalist Chester Bennington, Linkin Park Members took absconding. Between the passing of Bennington (2017) and the year 2020, the band was absent before returning in 2020.

From 1999 until 2017, Chester was Linkin Park’s vocalist lead. Throughout his entire career was in every album of the Linkin Park studio. 

The group Linkin Park took a break after Chester took his own life in July 2017. Mike announced to the band in April of 2022 Linkin Park would not make new music available or tour.

Linkin Park will not alter their music. But, according to Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park Members are not planning to release additional live performances, songs, or albums. In April, in Mike’s latest Twitch Livestream, the artist spoke about Linkin Park’s plans for the future. He revealed the fact that Linkin Park has no upcoming projects at the moment.

According to Mike, the group doesn’t have new songs or albums. Mike shared one of the only Linkin Park information with us, as they meet every two weeks. No scheduled tours, albums, releases, or other music projects exist.

Mike has advised Linkin Park fans not to set any expectations at this point, as the anticipation of new songs could be disappointing.

Mike stated clearly that he wouldn’t say more shortly. 

Everyone tries to jump on the hype train every time the band does or says things, and they’ll declare something like, “Don’t get on with the buzz train.” The band is not currently working on any plans. Let’s watch what happens in the future.

Linkin Park Members had not performed live as of the time they paid respect to famous musician Chester Bennington in Los Angeles in October 2017.

The group does not have plans to tour in the future. Linkin Park was founded in 1996.

Chester Bennington: Singer, Songwriter, and Frontman

Chester Bennington, one of the bands Linkin Park members, passed away at 41. Bennington was best known as a singer and songwriter in Linkin Park.

The band was formed in 1996 and released its first album in 1999. Their most famous songs include “In the End,” “One Step Closer,” and “Heavy.” Bennington also contributed vocals to other artist’s songs, including Bassist Rob Bourdon’s solo album Welcome to My World. In 2017, Linkin Park released their seventh album, One More Light, and announced a tour in support.

Mike Shinoda: Guitarist, Composer, and Producer

Mike Shinoda is best known as the guitarist, composer, and producer for Linkin Park. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he formed the band in 1996 with friends Brad Delson and Dave Farrell.

The group released its debut album, “Hybrid Theory,” in 2000 to critical acclaim. Since then, they have released six more albums, including 2011’s critically acclaimed “A Thousand Suns.”

Shinoda has collaborated with various artists, including Jay Z and Rihanna. In 2017 he released his first solo album, “The Rising,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard charts.

Rob Bourdon: Drums

Rob Bourdon is a drummer for Linkin Park, and his powerhouse drumming has helped propel the band to international success. Bourdon was born in San Diego, California, on October 4, 1985. He started playing drums at a young age and quickly developed a love for the instrument.

In 2000, Bourdon met future Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda while they were both students at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. The two men formed a band called Xero and began to write songs.

In 2003, Linkin Park signed with Warner Bros. Records and released its debut album, Hybrid Theory. The album received critical acclaim and peaked at number one on the charts worldwide. Hybrid Theory spawned several hit singles, including “One Step Closer,” “Crawling,” and “In the End.

Brad Delson: Bassist

Brad Delson, the bassist for Linkin Park, is one of the music industry’s most influential and well-known bassists. He has played with some of the biggest names in rock, including Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots.

The band members were Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn. “Hybrid Theory” sold over 1 million copies in the United States within its first week of release. The album has since been certified platinum by the RIAA.

1997’s “Meteora.”
