LG just announced a new member of the Tone Free family of true wireless headphones that the company first introduced earlier this year.
According to Neowin, after releasing the previous HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 models, LG is now rolling out a more premium version, the HBS-FN7. The highlight of this new product is the addition of active noise cancellation (ANC) which is not available in either of the existing models.
To support ANC, in-ear headphones will use external microphones to identify what is happening around the user and attempt to disable them so that the outside sounds do not interrupt the listening experience. LG is also using patented ear tips that promise a tighter plug for better passive noise isolation.
HBS-FN7 also holds the highlight of the HBS-FN6 is the Uvnano charging box, which uses UV rays to clean harmful bacteria out of the headset whenever the user puts the headset inside. This model also has a few lights at the top of the box, allowing the user to see when the headset is charging and the disinfection state.
Like the previous two models, the sound on the HBS-FN7 is tuned by Meridian, which is LG’s partner on high-end audio equipment from the Korean company. Meridian will provide an EQ app with some sound control options.
LG Tone Free FN7 is now available in Korea and will reach more markets in North America, Europe and Asia in the fourth quarter of 2020.
