3 Ways to get free SSL certificate for your website

SSL certificate, Free SSL certificate

If you have a website and want to protect your website with an SSL certificate, you are in the right place. I have researched many websites and finally found a solution on how to get a free SSL certificate for my website.

What is an SSL certificate?

The SSL certificate (Secure Sockets layer) contains essential information for verifying the ownership of a website and encrypting web traffic using SSL/TLS with the addition of a public key, the certificate issuer, and connected subdomains.

BENEFITS OF USING SSL

Here are four key advantages of using an SSL certificate on your website.

  • SSL PROTECTS DATA:

The main function of an SSL certificate is to protect the communication between the server and the client. When installing SSL, every bit of information is encrypted. From the layman’s point of view, the data is locked and can only be unlocked by the intended recipient (browser or server), since no one else can have the key to open them. When working with sensitive data, such as IDs, passwords, credit card numbers, etc.

  • PROTECTS FROM HACKERS:

SSL helps you protect yourself from a malicious army of hackers and skimmers. Since the data is converted to an illegible format using SSL, the hacker’s skills turn out to be a sharp sword against the unsurpassed SSL certificate encryption technology.

  • THE BEST RANKING IN SEARCH ENGINES:

In 2014, Google made changes to its algorithm to give an advantage to websites with HTTPS support. This has been evident in various studies conducted by SEO experts around the world.

Who doesn’t want to be on the first page of Google, right?

  • SSL HELPS YOU MEET PCI/DSS REQUIREMENTS:

If you accept online payments, you should know something about the PCI/DSS requirements. To receive online payments, your website must comply with the PCI standard. The presence of an installed SSL certificate is one of the 12 basic requirements established by the payment card industry (PCI).

Therefore, SSL is necessary—whether you want it or not.

  • SSL INCREASES CUSTOMER TRUST:

If it were up to us, we would rename SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to TTL (Trust Transfer Layer). Fortunately, this is not the case. But this will not prevent us from singing the praises of the TTL- err, SSL certificate. In addition to encryption and authentication, SSL certificates are vital in terms of customer trust. Easy-to-identify signs inform users that the data they send will be protected.

How do I get a free SSL certificate?

  • Ask your hosting provider.

In my case, I use Namesilo, which is really an excellent hosting service according to my experience. I have also used other hosting services, but they are not as good as Namesilo regarding price and the equality of service. If you use other hosting providers, you can also ask them for a free SSL certificate. You may be lucky if you get it with your provider. (I had no luck with my previous provider, let me know in the comment below if you got it through your provider.)

Most hosting service can chat in real-time; you can ask them for a free SSL certificate via chat.

  • Cloudflare

Cloudflare is a CDN platform with which you can get a free SSL certificate. Basically, it works as a VPN for your site. And the main advantage of using the Cloudflare CD is that it can pin your website.

If you are looking for hosting, I prefer that you go with Namesilo.

Why Namesilo?

Namesilo hosting plans and domain are pretty cheap compared to other platforms. Secondly, as I mentioned, they provide you with a free SSL certificate.

Third, you don’t need to configure Cloudflare because Cloudflare will be integrated with all hosting plans.

So, I suggest you go with a Hosting Provider. This is my review of the hosting provider. I personally use it at the moment, and I’m pretty happy with it. If you have any other requests, let me know in the comments below.
