YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss has just tested the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro series to evaluate the battery life on these new phone models with iPhones in recent years.
According to PhoneArena, it’s important to note that the new iPhones have batteries with a smaller capacity than last year’s models. At the same time, they come with the A14 Bionic chip that saves more energy thanks to the 5nm process. Therefore, Apple promises the same battery life as in the 2019 models.
For testing, Mrwhosetheboss chose iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, iPhone XR and iPhone SE (2020). On all smartphones, this YouTube channel sets the same brightness levels and settings and ensures all devices have 100% battery capacity.
Mrwhosetheboss has run games, video playback, cameras, benchmarks and various apps on smartphones. The first device to be eliminated from the race was the iPhone SE (2020) operating 3 hours 59 minutes. Then there was the iPhone XR with 4 hours 32 minutes, iPhone 11 lasting 5 hours 9 minutes. After 6:34, the iPhone 12 Pro ran out of battery and the iPhone 12 lasted 6 hours 41 minutes. For the iPhone 11 Pro, the product battery ran for 7 hours 36 minutes and the iPhone 11 Pro Max was 8 hours 29 minutes.
Basically, the regular iPhone 12 works longer than the iPhone 11, but the iPhone 12 Pro is significantly inferior to its predecessor. It is known that the iPhone 12 has a 2,815 mAh battery similar to that on the iPhone 12 Pro.
