Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp social media companies have reportedly crashed when users reported problems on different platforms showing 5xx server error.
According to Down Detector, reports of problems began around 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
The cause of the problems associated with the three companies owned by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg remains unknown.
What is a 5xx server error?
Instagram users reported seeing a message with a 5xx server error message.
The 5xx code means that the problem was caused by a problem with the server.The error usually occurs when the server cannot fulfill a user request, and will continue until the server administration considers the problem.
It is also important to keep in mind that quite often a chain of servers processes an HTTP request, so it may not be your server returning the error.
According to the DownDetector website, more than 600 messages were detected 15 minutes before 4.45 pm.
Whatsapp doesn’t work?
The Downdetector has seen a rapid increase in the number of reports of problems since about 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
43% of reports indicate problems with connecting to the server, while the application (31%) and sending messages (26%) are other problems reported by users.
Instagram doesn’t work?
Users started posting Instagram posts on Downdetector around 4 p.m. on Monday.
50% of the reported issues were related to the application, while the server connection (27%) and the website (23%) were other issues reported.
Is Facebook not working today?
Again, users started reporting issues around 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon, with 78% of the published reports being related to the website.
12% of the reports were related to the application, while 10% of the reports were related to the server connection.
